She obtained her MSc and PhD in Psychobiology at the Universidade Federal de S\u00e3o Paulo (UNIFESP), where she is now Professor. She is the coordinator of the Research Center on Health and Substance Use (NEPSIS) and of the Regional Reference Center on Crack and Other Drugs (RRC-DIMESAD-UNIFESP). Her area of expertise is psychosocial aspects related to use of psychotropics and its health implications through epidemiological frameworks, qualitative analysis, clinical trials and community evaluation of preventive and therapeutic interventions.
